I was worried about putting a magnet next to my iPhone 6S plus. It didn't have any issues and the mount holds in place very well. I like this better than the clip that blocks the air vent.

There are two parts to this review.
First, this was the best car mount I've ever had. When I got it, it assembled quickly and went into the CD slot in my van and held my phone. The magnet, carefully placed on my phone case, didn't interfere with my wireless charging. I spent two months telling everyone to get one of these.
But then... (The second part)
At just over two months, my phone, with the full mount still firmly attached, fell out of the CD slot when I went over a speed bump. The tines appeared to have been warped inwards, either by pressure or heat or both (I live in Napa - it's warm, but not really hot). By flipping the mount upside down, I got another month of use out of it, but yesterday it fell out again - bumps involved. This time, one of the tines is clearly cracked. No, not from the fall. It seems to have just broke while in the CD slot. Perhaps the moving tines just can't hold the weight of a phone (I did have it upside down at this point), but I think it cracked after warping. I'm disappointed. I can't tell you how much I loved this holder at the first!

A quick scan of reviews elsewhere online shows that my experience is not unique. Reluctantly, I've got to give this a low review score. Hopefully Naztech will step up the build quality. I'll watch for a new version in hopes of recapturing my first love for this product.

I am so so happy I got this magnetic cd slot car amount. Since I don't use my cars CD player I thought this would be the best car mount for me. It's made very well and fits in the slot perfect, with a tightening knob for adjustment. Included is a couple different magnetic stick ons for your phone or device. My phone held up great with a strong grip and I was able to rotate my phone around. Before this car mount I would rest my phone against something or place it in the cup holder, which was a huge pain, especially when I'm using the GPS on my phone. Because my car doesn't have a GPS, I have to use my phone, and really need it at eye level. Best ivention! Love it!

This thing is fantastic! It fits perfectly in the cd slot, and the magnet that keeps your phone in place is super strong! I have a flip case on my phone, and put the magnet sheet that comes with it on the back of case. Even when the cover is flipped open, the magnet holds my phone securely in place, even on a bumpy road. Because of the way that the air vents are designed on my car, I couldn't get any air vent phone holders to stay reliably in place. This is far better! Be careful when attaching the magnetic sheets to your phone/case. The glue is VERY strong, so if (like me) you drop in when you're attaching it to your phone, you're going to have a hell of a time getting it back off.
